Roses & Thorns of 2018

The Rose & Thorn tradition on Fridays came to an abrupt halt this year on the blog & Facebook when life happened. Sorry about that! To make up for it, let’s take a moment to reflect on the top three roses & thorns of 2018.

ROSES 🌹

#1 Becoming a homeowner

This was a big game changer and kept me super busy for the tail-end of the year. I haven’t even browsed the Madewell sale from mid-September until I started shopping for the Holidays. Can you imagine that all of my online shopping and sale stalking has been limited to housewares? I’ve never been so giddy to receive a Breville oven on my doorstep.

#2 Abuela Camp & Destin Vacation

Ah, summer vacation. So much has happened since June when my niece came to visit and we later went to spend the week in the Florida Panhandle. We were able to enjoy the sugar sand beaches and catch up with family and friends before Hurricane Michael would change Destin’s shoreline in October.

THORNS 📌

#1 Online Dating

After a year of full-blown bumblin’ around the online dating world, it’s been an experience that I can now laugh about. The moral of the story is: there are more DUDS than STUDS.

#2 Health Hunting

2019 will be the year to get my health right. Hunting for the right doctors and protocol to be livin’ my best life is going to be my mission.

#3 Moving Headaches

I could and should write a whole blog post about my moving ordeals. I seriously thought that Ashton Kutcher was going to pop out of the bushes at one point because I MUST BE GETTIN’ PUNK’D. Comcast, Amazon, and AT&T all deserve a RANT.

TOP-READ BLOG POSTS OF 2018

In the spirit of reflection, I managed to round-up the most-read blog posts on Sassyrants this past year. Catch up on these in case you missed these gems…

That’s a wrap folks. Cheers to the New Year and thanks for coming along for the ride.
