The Self-Care Guide: Palm Beach

A true gal pal will go ahead and share her recommended hair stylist or nail tech. That’s why I thought it would be worth sharing my guide for South Florida beauty and self-care gurus.

Massage 💆

Cisco from the Massage Antidote is a wizard. I met him when I went to a gym in Wellington that offered post-workout stretches and monthly massages. I was training for my marathons and Cisco managed to keep me on track and cure all aches/pains. Since leaving that gym, Cisco has started his own mobile massage business. I have made it a monthly Spa Date with my girlfriend Trish to host a massage at my house. It’s a great excuse to pop a bottle of champagne, eat some snacks, and work out all the kinks. I am the worst client on the table, BUT I love referring people to Cisco. He is so flexible, I have text him at 7 AM with a wild kink in my neck and he’s set me right by 8 PM. You’ll never have a foo-foo hotel massage after you have Cisco’s massage. Tell him Sassy sent you to #treatyoself!

Lashes 👁️

My massage buddy, Trish, started doing eyelash extensions and I was instantly intrigued. I’ve always had long, stick-straight lashes that create raccoon eyes with mascara. I longed for SnapChat filter ready lashes, so I took the plunge around the holidays last years. Oh my word, I love Sayana of PostQuam Palm Beach. I have been thrilled with my Natural Look Lashes for damn near a year now. She recently rebranded from Angel Lashes to PostQuam Palm Beach and also expanded her offerings with facials, body treatments, training other aestheticians, and so much more. Another win is that Sayana allows for online booking and her schedule allows for weekend and before work appointments.

Hair 💇

My longest relationship has been with Camelly of ShearLuck Salon. I was referred to her by two different people many, many moon ago and I’ve been a loyal girl ever since. She has been the only one I have trusted to color my hair and get it right. She has kept my hair long, taken me short, and every length in between. I will forever visit her for hairapy. She is a super girl boss based in Delray Beach and I always look forward to our visit.

Nails 💅

This is a topic that I am all of the map with. Depending on my location, time constraints, or nail art needs, I’m going to recommend a nail tech. Keep in mind that I always you to put your best mani forward (HERE).

Online booking: Imelda or Maya at Toi Nail Spa – Wellington

This place is like Cheers, you walk in and you feel right at home. The receptionist and nail techs always remember your smiling face. They have all of the latest and greatest OPI polishes. Bertha always has the greatest time when she decides to pamper herself with a nail appt.

Bold nail art: Geliz of Blue Dream Sirena Nails

Geliz will never flinch at the Paintbox NYC nail art that I send her via IG. Visit her for a bold nail design. She is always willing to try something new and flex her artistry muscles. She’s operating out of the Bella Salon Suites in Coral Springs at Sample/441.

TIE – Luxe Nail Experience: Van at Nail Trendz

I was sent to visit Van after I moved into my place in Boca and she (really no one) disappoints.

TIE – Luxe Nail Experience:: Pour & Polish

If I was going to open a nail salon, I would follow this model. Wine bar by the glass, sleek design, and the best of Essie, Zoya, and OPI colors. This East Boca salon would be there perfect spot to host a private bridal nail party.

If you are ISO any of the above providers, I give you my blessing as I’ve spent $$$, hours, and years with these guys. I’m happy to show my love for these gurus and hope you find time to invest in yourself.

xx – Sass
