Yay! It’s Birthday month 🍾 I’m hosting a dinner party with a theme of Sassy’s New Year the weekend before my birthday because I love to think of it as a cause for a celebration for another trip around the sun. I even joked about making the Momofuku Milk Bar Birthday cake, until my girlfriend Denise realized that it was a 17 hour prep time. I think we’ll order in or make a good ol’ funfetti cake instead.
In the spirit of Birthday month, I’ve rounded up a few of the items I’ve been lusting over.
Anthro Sienna Jumpsuit
I tried this jumpsuit on before going to St. Croix for Jenna’s wedding and it was lust at first sight. It’s almost too hard to even pick the right color because they’re all so perfect: black, red, or a green tropical print.
Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia Spray Perfume
After giving fragrance up for Lent, I tried a rollerball of this scent from the Clean Beauty section at Target. Michael Kors signature fragrance is my OG favorite perfume and gardenia based, so this is a clear favorite for me. I’ve spotted it at Whole Foods and Ulta.
Jennifer Zeuner Bianca Hoops
My girlfriend Jen and I llllllove Jennifer Zeuner’s pieces. Her fiance is always clueless when it comes to gift giving for her and when he enlisted me as a personal shopper days before her birthday this year, I found her these hoop earrings in silver. Well, I did such a good job that I think I NEED the two-tone version because they are so darn cute. Don’t even get me started with that bigger the hoop, the bigger the ho controversy.
YETI Rambler Tumbler
Last week I saw the sweetest rainbow of Yeti tumblers on display at Whole Foods. I was tempted to buy another as I have one that I use for my Bulletproof coffee in the morning for work. When I went to the Tortuga Music Festival last month, the Yeti was a lifesaver for cold drinks on the beach. Having a backup tumbler for water, wine or cocktails would be perfect!
CELINE Medium Trapeze
If we’re talking about a lust list, there’s got to be a handbag! This is it. There isn’t much explaining necessary here because it’s such a classic beauty.
Madewell
There is no hiding or denying I love anything and everything from Madewell. It’s easily become an essential part of my uniform mixed in with other wardrobe pieces. My pals Jake and Alissa got me tassel earrings one year for Christmas that I simply adore and I rarely buy jewelry for myself. I also haven’t tried much of their footwear but I can certainly use a few new sandals to complete a summer wardrobe of dresses and jorts.
CB Over-the-Door Mirror
I’m not too sure how this has happened but I don’t have a full-length mirror in my room. If I need to scope out an entire outfit, I’ll normally run into the guest room as the closet doors are mirrored. I’ve had my eye on this over-the-door mirror from Crate and Barrel for a while now.
Other goodies that I have considered include the new Olive & June The Everything Box with all of your at-home mani essentials and the Beautycounter Get The Look set in The Classic colorway.
